Environmental
Flight, 140 SPTG/CEV, recently oversaw
the up-grade of the secondary containment dike system
surrounding a 6,500-gallon poly tank containing de-icing
fluid. The sand bag and poly liner system had decayed
to the point where it was no longer functional. The new
30 high, heavy-duty Poly Dike™ system provided by
Containment Corporation, offers a long term, safe, and
attractive replacement.

Capacity 7,000 plus gallons

Containment's
crew also sealed the concrete cracks
running across the floor on the system, and installed
a drip pan under the tank valve. |

The appearance
of the area was significantly upgraded
with the replacement of the old sandbag dike wall. |

Tennessee Valley
Authority used the Poly Dike™ Wall system to create temporary holding
ponds required for their operations. Note the installation steps
followed:

(1) Following
nuclear site strict requirements they build a sub-floor for the
liner. This is NOT required in most applications.
(2) Poly Dike™ wall systems are quickly assembled to form a containment wall. The
10' long component wall sections interlock to form a rugged support
structure around the containment area.

(3) The liner
is rolled out and draped over the Poly Dike™ walls. Modular Corner
Protectors cover excess liner material in the corners.
|
 |
|

(4) A fiberglass
cap is now fitted over the top of the Poly Dike™ wall and screwed in
place. This cap acts to secure the liner in place.

(5) Pictured is a finished CPD Pond System. Most customers cut excess
liner material away once the cap is secured. These systems can be
installed in a couple hours.
